* 사실 리그오브레전드(이하 롤) 게이머들 평가가 국내와 해외 평가가 많이 상반됩니다. 가령 역대 최고 원딜은 우리나라에서는 뱅이 가장 높은 지지를 받지만, 해외에서는 우지가 훨씬 높은 평가를 받죠. 또 서폿 포지션에서도 마타 vs 울프 비교에서 국내에서도 마타의 지지가 훨씬 높지만 울프라고 생각하는 사람도 20% ~ 30%는 되는 것 같은데, 해외에서는 둘은 아예 비교대상도 아닐 만큼 마타가 대우받습니다.
* 매 시즌 세체 포지션을 꼽을 때 국내에서는 롤드컵 우승팀 선수들이 최소 3명은 세체로 대우받는 편이지만, 해외에서는 그렇지 않죠. 그래서 해외 사이트에서 롤 선수들 역대 평가를 찾아봤습니다. 절대 필자의 의견은 아니고, 재미삼아 찾아본 거라 참고만 해주시면 감사하겠습니다. 역시 GOAT 페이커의 위엄... 저 정도의 글로벌 프로게이머가 우리나라에서 다시 나올 수 있을까 궁금하네요. 전체적으로 영어권에는 유럽, 북미 선수들에 대한 평가가 좋네요. 특히 캡스는 롤드컵 우승 한 번만 하면 평가가 어마어마할 것 같고요.
우리나라에서는 LCK, LPL, LEC 별로 리그 우승 가치를 다르게 평가하는데 해외에서는 역시 다른가 보네요. 북미 선수들에 관해 높은 평가가 많고, 2018년 IG가 롤드컵 우승한 시즌 한국 LCK는 성적이 완전히 폭락했는데 당해 스코어 마타를 퍼스트팀으로 선정한 사이트도 있고요.
롤판은 앞으로 20년은 갈 것 같은데 앞으로 롤 e스포츠에 어떤 선수들이 나올지, 어떤 팀이 롤드컵을 들어올릴지도 매년 기대됩니다.
